About the Role

The Manager Finance is responsible for the Accounting department with 5 FTEs. Together with the team, the Manager Finance ensures the financial administration, annual accounts, cash management, taxes, administrative organization, insurance, and compliance.

The Manager maintains a sharp overview, ensuring continuity and stability. The main responsibility is the quality of the financial administration and cash management. You are an inspiring leader and know how to bring out the best in people. You are also experienced in carefully maintaining external relationships with, among others, the tax authorities, credit insurers, accountants, and suppliers. You bring structure, have an eye for detail, and at the same time, in a changing organization, you optimize and automate processes and reports. Financial administration is managed with MS Navision.


As a Finance Manager:

  • You have overall responsibility for the Accounting department. Together, you ensure the entire financial administration;
  • You are responsible for the accurate, timely, and complete delivery of the monthly and annual closing;
  • You monitor statuses within financial processes and take action where necessary;
  • You analyze and optimize work processes and procedures and ensure the proper application of AO/IC;
  • You initiate, lead, and guide organization-wide improvement projects to make the organization more efficient and effective;
  • You provide solicited and unsolicited advice to management regarding business, financial, and fiscal matters;
  • You identify trends and developments in your field and anticipate them when necessary;
  • You are a member of the Leadership Team and report to the CFO.

Job requirements

You Recognize Yourself in This

  • At least 5 years of work experience and leadership experience within accountancy in compilation or audit practice; or in a Finance Management function;
  • AA or RA training;
  • Experience in further professionalizing financial administration; transitioning to a new ERP; and integrating 2 companies;
  • Proficiency in period closings, including the complete preparation of the annual accounts;
  • Knowledge and experience with working capital management and cash management;
  • Strong eye for compliance;
  • A hands-on mentality in this leadership role, in which you are also willing and able to support your team operationally;
  • You are analytically strong, quality-oriented, and have a get-things-done mentality;
  • You have a healthy dose of passion and ambition, where you are willing to go the extra mile;
  • You are a team player with a strong sense of responsibility;
  • You have a good command of both Dutch and English.
