About this role: The Category Management department consists of several category managers, who are responsible for our product assortment. They manage both our own purchased products and our Partner products.

As a Commercial Assistant, you will support these Category Managers with administrative tasks to enable rapid growth. Your general tasks will include answering questions from our suppliers and partners, creating products in our systems, maintaining contact with internal departments about product inquiries, arranging samples with suppliers for photography purposes, assisting the category managers with promotions, following up with suppliers for the correct content and images, creating analyses on competitors or suppliers, and processing supplier information.

In summary, you will do the following:

  • Support purchasing activities such as product listings, management, and organizing systems and documents.
  • Assist in promotions and pricing processes.
  • Maintain contact with suppliers.
  • Prevent and investigate invoice discrepancies.
  • Maintain contact with internal departments about product inquiries or other category management-related questions.
  • Coordinate the sample and/or photography process with suppliers.
  • Administratively create and update supplier information, ensuring that suppliers provide accurate content and images on time.
  • Provide general support in various projects.

Job requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Completed MBO education with 1-2 years of (administrative) work experience;
  • Or an HBO graduate, preferably in an administrative field;
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and written;
  • Strong communication skills;
  • A structured way of working;
  • Proficient with various software systems.
