As a Commercial Operations Manager at fonQ, you'll take ownership of seamless onboarding of new suppliers, drive diverse commercial projects and streamline processes. Working closely with suppliers, category managers, and cross-functional teams, you'll make sure everything runs smoothly to create an exceptional experience for our customers and partners.

09:00 - Start you day by greeting your showroom colleagues (and maybe have a sneaky peak at our new selection of furniture and home accessories) as you make your way to our open-plan office space – also a great opportunity to get in your steps for the day as you climb up a few flights of stairs!


10:00 – Check your agenda, but your day may be split between…


40 % Connecting, onboarding, and optimizations

  • Take on a variety of commercial projects, continuously seeking ways to optimize our processes and enhance operations for the commercial team.

  • Showcase your tech-savvy mindset by empowering our commercial assistants and category managers to handle daily operations and solve strategic challenges.


60% Integrate our suppliers and improving workflows

  • You’ll spot opportunities to automate processes, improve workflow efficiency, and reduce manual work, all while supporting smooth integration between our systems and those of our partners.

  • Dedicate time to improving and streamlining the integration between fonQ and Naduvi.


12:00 – Unlimited and well-priced lunch with a lovely rooftop terrace!


12:30 – Connect with your colleagues and get energized for the second half of the day by going on a post-lunch walk!


13:00 – From now till the end of day, you check in with your responsibilities once again. You may have a few calls or meetings sprinkled in your agenda or you may have some time to really focus on your tasks – no two days are the same at fonQ!

Job requirements

Your key responsibilities include but not limited to… 

  • Onboarding Suppliers: Ensure smooth, efficient onboarding experience by working closely with suppliers to integrate them into our platform. 

  • Optimizing Workflows: Identify and implement smarter, more effective processes for the commercial team, such as automated reporting systems for efficient supplier onboarding. 

  • Bridging Business and Tech: Translate business needs into clear technical requirements, collaborating with our tech team to enhance product content processes and data exchange. 

  • Driving Integration Improvements: Standardize processes to streamline operations, improve efficiency, and reduce manual tasks. 

  • You’ll communicate daily with a range of partners—from small businesses to major enterprises—ensuring technical collaborations run smoothly post-onboarding.  

  • You’ll be the go-to for resolving issues or finding opportunities to enhance processes. 


Our new colleague will have… 

  • Educational Background: University-level education (WO) with a strong analytical mindset. 

  • Languages: Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Ideally, also able to speak and write in Dutch. 

  • Experience: 1- 3 years in e-commerce, business operations, or management consulting, with a focus on project management and process optimization.
